Your way to a driver's license

Are you planning to get your driver's license, want to refresh your knowledge or change driving schools? Then you've come to the right place! Our competent team will be happy to advise you and give you all the information you need for successful training.
1. registration
To register, simply drop by during our opening hours. It is best to make an appointment beforehand, as registration will take about 30 minutes.
What you need to bring with you:
- Your identity card
- The training fee (see price list)
2. Documents
You will then need the following documents to submit your driver's license application to the driver's licensing authority (Ordnungsamt):
- An eye test (not older than 6 months)
- a passport photo
- Certificate of participation in a first aid course
3. Driver's license application
You submit your driver's license application to the City of Leipzig at the driver's license office. Don't forget your identity card, eye test, biometric passport photo and first aid certificate. You pay the initial application fee of 53.30 euros on site. Please note that your driver's license application is valid for 12 months. If you need longer for your driving license, the application must be resubmitted for a new fee.
4. Theory lessons
The theory lessons take place at our branch and last 90 minutes. You can start at any time, regardless of which topic block is next. You then attend the theory lessons until you have completed each lesson (12 + 2).

5. Theoretical examination
You take the theory exam after you have completed all the lessons - consisting of 12 basic lessons and 2 additional lessons - from the theory course.
You will be given a fixed date for the exam at DEKRA. You will receive information from us in good time about when and where the exam will take place. You will find out whether you have passed immediately after the exam.
6. Driving lessons
Now it's time for the practical driving lessons. You will be assigned a permanent driving instructor to prepare you for the practical test. It is important to us that you get your driving license as quickly as possible, but quality is more important to us than quantity. Better one driving lesson more - and absolutely safe on the road.
In addition to the practice drives, you must complete the following compulsory drives:
- 5x cross-country trips
- 4x highway trips
- 3x night drives
7. Practical examination
You will receive all information about your exam date from us in good time.
Before you start, you have the opportunity to "warm up". As every driving test is different and depends on the current traffic situation, you should be prepared for different situations. The test usually lasts around 55 minutes and includes driving in town, on the highway or country road as well as typical tasks such as parking. Some examiners also ask questions about theoretical knowledge. But don't worry - we will prepare you optimally for all requirements.
8. Driver's license
After passing your driving test, the driving examiner hands you your license. You've done it, you are now authorized to drive a car.
